Summer in Vrhnika

There are more than 30 different events at different venues around Vrhnika offering cultural content, entertainment and children programmes, creating a pleasant atmosphere and summer festive fever in the evenings. Summer in Vrhnika is an event taking place at the recreational park in July and August with events intended for local and other visitors of every generation keen on music, arts and sports.

On summer nights under the stars, the stage will host pleasant concerts of various musical genres. There will also be an open-air cinema where visitors will dive into the world of the silver screen. In addition, a street market will open on the Stara cesta Road with foods and drinks, and music. Another venue boasting colourful activity is the Independence Park, where under the lime tree there will be fairy tales, wizards, puppets, acrobats, Lego, and much more. The programme also includes sport events and stand-up comedians. Due to its slow stream, the River Ljubljanica is also the perfect place for adventures with canoes or SUPs. In addition, we organise family hikes along the many fairy-tale trails around the municipality.
