Description
The lowlands around Vrhnika offer many biking trails. The circular biking route in the Ljubljana Marshes starts and ends in front of TIC Vrhnika and is 27 km long. The route invites you to discover the Ivan Cankar statue, Cankar's School under the Bridge ('Enajsta šola'), St Jacobs' Church at Blatna Brezovica (one of the points on the Way of Saint James), the Nature
Reserve of Mali plac and the Jurca Peat Bog ('Jurčevo šotišče'), a natural monument of national importance. The trail can be extended by 6 km if you include the Bevke Nature Trail. This route takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the nature trail takes an hour more. The trail leads along a partially gravel road.
